I think back to when I first got married,  I was so excited and couldn’t wait

to start cooking for my new husband.  I recall being so afraid to deviate from

the recipe and making sure to measure everything precisely to what the recipe

called for.  Things certainly have changed.  The first cookbook I ever

purchased was Betty Crocker’s Cookbook Sixth Edition.  I am embarrassed to

the state of it today, torn, tattered and pages falling out.  I loved that

cookbook and I still treasure it today.  I still refer to it from time to time for

inspiration.  Today I have so many to draw inspiration from and so many more

that I can’t wait to add to my collection.

Can’t wait for this blog to be fully up and running! I will visit often…

My favourite is probably “The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook”. I love Ina Garten. Never once have I been unimpressed with her recipes. They are always spectacular!

Thank you Alexis, have everything almost set to go, should be this week. I love Ina’s recipes as well, can’t believe I haven’t picked up one of her books yet. She has an amazing shrimp scampi recipe that I go to so often.
