I never thought of enriching French toast with chocolate. [Homemade] challah is also my favorite bread for making French toast.

i have made something similar for my kids, however never mixed conf sugar with the egg + milk! very interesting. this may have to be tomorrows breakfast. yet, with left over challah! thanks for inspiring!
